Social-Emotional learning is one of the most valuable aspects of early childhood education. Children in mixed-age group care learn how to share space, feel empathy, take turns, listen actively, communicate fairly, solve problems, and much more!

Community Agreements

We use the term “agreements” as opposed to “rules”. While it is necessary to have loving limits and safety boundaries, I find that it is both more inclusive and effective to write the agreements together. We do use 4 guidelines to help structure the agreements, so that children can fill in what they mean to them: Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Respectful, Be Responsible. Community Agreements will be recorded and posted, unique to each school year.
